Pilates for Daily Life

We are committed to help our clients feel confident to perform daily activites and hobbies with much ease.  Whether the activity is less or more physically demanding, or in sports and dance, we tailor our exercise programme to help our clients breathe, move and function better everyday.  Our exercise programme is suitable for both genders and for all ages.  

Pilates for Pain Management

Our goal is to help our clients become more body aware and be empowered with knowledge that can help them alleviate pain.  By exercising safely and becoming stronger, we hope clients gets an improved quality of life from moving better.  

Pilates for Post-rehab

Injury prevention is a major part of our work.  But we also come in during clients’ post-rehabilitation phase, to assist the client in regaining their functionality and restoring the body’s optimal movement.  The Pilates system is also beneficial for helping clients with neurological issues to maintain and improve motor control and movement health.  

Pilates for Your Fitness Goals

Whatever your fitness goals may be, we will  be happy to be a part of your journey!  Be it for improving posture, or to understand movement better, or to achieve a physical goal, we want to help you get closer towards it! 

Pilates for Bone Health and Geriatrics

Bone health should be built from any age.  However, we are committed to help geriatric clients to continue enjoy good movement capability into their senior years with safe and functional exercise programmes.

Pre and Post Natal Pilates

Our low impact Pilates programming supports the pregnancy period, with exercises that adapt to the pregnant woman’s changing body, to alleviate common physical discomfort, improve stability and prepare the client for labour and post-partum recovery.  The post-natal programming helps to heal without undue stress on the joints and regain strength and confidence.

We teach movement as a safe and effective system of progression with a therapeutic and holistic approach. Our goal is to help improve posture, balance, strength, and conditioning, allowing you to gain a greater mobility throughout the body. In every session, we aim to create a positive movement experience, enabling you to resume and improve your daily life activities.

Michelle, Kevin, and Julina, co-founders of The Better Movement Studio, crossed paths in the world of Argentine Tango. Michelle and Julina are Pilates Instructors, and Kevin is the brain and the supporting hand behind the business. After years of continuous learning and exploring movement together, the like-minded souls decided to join forces and open a place where they can practice what they believe in, as well as provide a peaceful, safe, inviting environment for their clients to reconnect with themselves and their bodies.

Over the years, Michelle has provided movement education to a broad range of clients in the region.   From post-rehabilitating patients to competitive athletes, from expressive artists to deskbound officers, from corporate mindful movement classes to customized private pre-natal sessions, Michelle takes all her teaching experience to create an empowering learning environment in The Better Movement Studio.

Julina has a holistic health management background in corporate wellness management, human nutrition, public health, behavior coaching, dance and movement, women’s health and Tango Therapy for those suffering movement impairment. Julina spent years working internationally, speaking on and managing corporate wellness. The Better Movement Studio is the base of her work, and the place to devote her time to working specifically with women with movement needs, believing that our needs change as we progress in life!
